"Enjoy the little things in life.... for one day you'll look back and realize they were the big things." Educational tours hold a very significant place in childhood memories. It not only gives us an opportunity to explore different places as a free bird but it also helps in strengthening the bonds with friends. Keeping the same view in mind, an educational tour of 4 days i.e. 16 - 19 November 2017 was organized for the students of Class VII to Jaipur, a fascinating Indian city that boasts the finest examples of Rajasthan’s architecture and history. The dawn of 16 November brought a glint in the eyes and a sunny smile on the lovely faces of our Class VII children the day they were anxiously awaiting for, their educational tour to Jaipur, the Pink City. With excitement and anxiety brimming in their hearts the students visited to Birla Mandir, Central Museum, Amber Fort, City Palace, Jaigrah Fort, Jal Mahal and Choki Dhani. The children enjoyed the hospitality of Rajasthan ‘Padharo Mahre Des’. The students had a blast when they gyrated on the stage and showcased their dancing talent on DJ Night. The students were awestruck with huge forts and their architecture. All the attractions and elements of ethnic culture and tradition like folk entertainment, fun games, bioscope, live pottery, magic show and animal rides at Choki Dhani gave an immense pleasure to them. The icing on the cake was a delicious rajasthani meal for the children. For our young explorers these were the days filled with amazement and frolic and a heart filled with long lasting memories.

As an endeavour to make the students aware of the fundamental operations of the United Nations, a two day workshop for classes VI-VIII and classes IX –XII was held on 21 and 22 November,2017 respectively. In the interactive sessions, a total of 321 students were introduced with all the functional and non functional organs of the UN. The students got acquainted with MUN basics, typical MUN simulations, such as Points of Information, Points of Personal Privilege or Points of Inquiry and the terms “moderated” and “unmoderated caucuses”. The knowledge about its committees was imparted in the simplest way through the presentations. There was a discussion on rules and regulations of MUN along with its proceedings from Roll Call to Adjournment of the MUN. The response from students was excellent and they felt motivated to participate in MUN sessions. The Principal, Ms Meenu Arora applauded the enthusiasm of the students and expressed her sincere thanks to the resource persons, Social Science Department and the students to make this event a grand success.

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, independent India’s first Prime Minister, Children’s Day was celebrated with great splendor and grandeur to pay tribute to this legendary freedom fighter who was extremely fond of young children. A special assembly was organized by the teachers of junior wing comprising of different cultural programs and events for the students. The assembly started with a mellifluous prayer seeking Almighty’s blessings. It was a celebration with a difference where teachers were on the stage to amuse the children. Finger puppets were used to narrate interesting stories to the students of Nursery and Prep. An ebullient dance performance was presented by the teachers. The gaiety and jauntiness of the students were at cloud nine while watching their teachers performing on stage. Different fun races like balloon race, dressing up race, ring ball race and skip and hop race were organized for the students of class III to V. An entertaining and inspiring 3D movie show was organized for the students of class V to VII. The senior wing students mesmerized the audience with their scintillating Dance performance on the songs Sajan radio…., Papa toh band….and Galti se mistake….. . The emotions like affection, love and care between the parents and children were showcased by a soul stirring skit presented by the students. The Principal Mrs. Meenu Arora lauded the contribution of the teachers who presented a rapturous assembly and encouraged the students to dream big and work hard. The assembly culminated with the rendition of National Anthem.

The significant days Haryana Day, National Integration Day and Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti were celebrated in the school premises with great verve and vitality. On the occasion of Haryana’s golden jubilee students over enthusiastically presented Haryanvi Dance on the song ‘Mere sir pe bantna tokni’.The troupe of dancers exhibited Haryanvi dialect, culture and civilization in a colourful way. The students staged a skit ‘Unity in Nation’ which showed the oneness of all the creatures created by God.They further elaborated this idea by emphasizing the fact the blood of all the people of different religions is same and condemning the discrimination based on caste, creed and religion. To commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev Ji ,filling the ambience with divine aura the students recited a hymn ‘Kavan Gun Pran Pat Milo Meri Mai’followed by ‘Ardaas’ praying for the divine bliss of Waheguru Ji. The Principal, Ms Meenu Arora motivated the students to shine the name the state on the global level. On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, she dwelled upon his contributions in uniting the segregated units of India into one entity and inspired the students to strengthen the bond of National Integration following the wave of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshth Bharat' launched by H'nble Prime Minister Mr Nrender modi. She also enthused them to follow the path of righteousness shown by Guru Nanak Dev Ji .
