“The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.” -Aristotle Delhi Public School,Karnal organized Cultural Fest for Pre- Primary students and Graduation Ceremony for the kids moving on from kindergarten to Class 1.The glittering opening ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the School Principal Ms. Meenu Arora. Speaking on the occasion, the School Principal Ms. Meenu Arora said she was overwhelmed to see children performing with confidence and grace. She motivated the students to scale new heights in academics as well as in co-curricular activities. She also expressed a deep sense of gratitude to one and all to share this joyous moment and spoke about the new school building erected for the tiny tots, students of class Nur. To II. Invoking the blessings of the almighty a glittering dance performance, on the song Albela sajan aayo ri…. was presented by the students. The junior school students mesmerized the audience with their mellifluous and motivating Action Song, We all DPS…… .The proceedings were electrified with a Pop Dance performance on the song Aaj ki party meri taraf se….. .It was followed by the convocation ceremony. The event was attended by parents who were as excited as the kids themselves when they saw their little ones dressed up in convocation gowns receiving certificates on stage. The kids were feeling vivacious after getting graduation robes and certificates of graduation. By organising this graduation ceremony Delhi Public school, Karnal made this milestone special for them in order to strengthen their roots of responsibility to participate proactively for helping others, giving wings to their independence, also to train them to take up challenges in coming future. Students were attired in different dresses like Money Plant, Egg Plant, Apple I Phone , 24 Carat etc. and the parents recognized them. A sizzling and well choreographed Arabian dance performance on the song Aawaran hu , ya gardish mein hu aasman ka……. was presented by kids. A captivating dance drama representing Indian Festivals drew hearty applause from the crowd.The A sprightly uplifting Fashion Show the songs ‘ Tainu suit suit karda, ye hai jalwa….’ filled the atmosphere with rhythm and symphony The programme ended on a very promising and positive note with a vote of thanks delivered by the Headmistress Ms Asha Malik, who extended her heartfelt gratitude to the parents and teachers for their presence to bless children. Addressing the parents, She said “It is our constant endeavor to help these young kids evolve as responsible citizens. Parents should lead their children towards independence. They should give the child the courage to face the problems of life. Support your children in a manner that they get prepared for the road rather than preparing the road for them.”The ceremony concluded with the entire congregation singing the National Anthem in unison.

Farewell Party-Festooned with nostalgic emotions

DPS Karnal organized a farewell party with a sheer intension ‘ never to say goodbye’ on 3rd February, 2018 in the school playground. Students of class XI gathered to bid farewell to the outgoing class XII batch. The vital ingredients of the party were breathtaking group dances, mesmerizing solo song performance, and an entertaining skit followed by everlasting token of love, appreciation and best wishes for their bright future was given by h’ble Principal Ms.Meenu Arora through her words of wisdom which were subtly laced with her immense care and concern for the students.

In the lush green canvas of Delhi Public School Karnal, Sahodya Inter School Poster Making was organized on 20 January 2018. In total 78students of 26 different school across the city showcased their immense creativity and made the contest vivid and memorable. Under the aegis of Sahodya School Complex every school gets a sheer opportunity to bloom their potentiality via boundless activities and competitions. This bout was conducted for the students of classes III-XII which was further split into three categories i.e. Classes III-V were in the junior category while Classes VI-VIII and Classes IX-XII in senior category . All the three groups exhibited their enormous artistic skills by sprinkling their outstanding talent and realistic approach towards life through different topics like : Ancient India/ India of my dreams, World without tree, Yoga -A way to healthy life, Mobile addiction in youth, My Haryana My Pride, Today's wastage tomorrow's shortage, Education and tourism move hand in hand, India's overpopulation- strength or weakness for world, Cyber Crime and Cyber Wellness, Vision of peace and The world in 2050 . The students of the host school welcomed honourable Chief Guest Mr Rajan Lamba, President , Sahodya School Complex Karnal & Principal, Tagore Baal Niketan Karnal through their mesmerizing orchestra presentation . The Principal, Ms Meenu Arora expressed her heartfelt gratitude by presenting a sapling to the Chief Guest. She thanked the dignitaries as well as judges of the competition for barging their valuable time and adding charisma by their benign presence . The commencement of the competition was laced with a divine aura through Jazz Dance. The host team students showcased a superb extravaganza focusing on physical fitness and reviving the roots of Indian culture through Yoga. The competition was adjudged by two learned and efficient personalities Ms. Shashi Sharma(Member of Haryana Government Distt. Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission) and Mr Rajeev Orhi (Head of Arts Department, Rahgiri & working in LIC)whose gigantic experience and impartial judgment gave this bout an unforgettable impression. In Category A Shreya of Delhi Public School Karnal , in Category B Rhydham Bindal of Prakash Public School & in Category C Vishal Dua of Dyal Singh Public School, Sec. 7& Bhanavi of Delhi Public School Karnal proved their mettle by securing the crowning trophy while Sachleen of Guru Harkishan Public School in Category A and Divyansh of Pratap Public School Karnal , Sec-6 & Jasmeet of Guru Harkishan Public School in Category B and Shweta of Pratap Public School Karnal , Sec-6 in Category C bagged second position. Diya of Pratap Public School Karnal, Sec-6 in Category A and Priya Saini of DAV Centenary Public School Indri & Ridhi Baid of Delhi Public School Karnal in Category B and Rakshita Lather of Prakash Public School Karnal in Category C brought the laurels to their respective school by achieving third position. Mayuri of Tagore Bal Niketan & Kashish of Dyal Singh Public School in Category A ,Bharti of Dyal Singh Public School, Sec. 7 & Sameer of Pratap Public School, Taraori in Category B and Aditya of DAV Public School Madhuban in Category C got consolation prizes . The piece of work of these winners was indeed a masterpiece in itself which depicted their broader and progressive attitude towards the upcoming future. Chief Guest Mr Rajan Lamba appreciated the versatility of the budding artists and accoladed the tireless efforts of the host school to make this event a big success. In remembrance of his Late father Chief Guest Mr Rajan Lamba announced cash prizes of Rs. 1000, 700 and 500 for the students who stood first, second and third in the category A, B and C and Rs. 200 for 6 students who got consolation prizes. Cash prize of Rs.1000 was also given to Dhriti of DPS Karnal for her exuberant Hindi poem recitation. The Principal, Ms Meenu Arora acknowledged the winners through certificates and trophies and encouraged the participants through participation certificates. She expressed her bountiful thanks to all the participating schools to convert this competition as a milestone in the history of Sahodya School Complex.

Special Assembly on Republic Day

DPS Karnal has been arranging Special Assemblies on special occasions to instil the strong character and moral values in our children. We need to inculcate and enforce the universal values of brotherhood, tolerance, peace, patriotism and solidarity in our children. Keeping this in mind we had a special assembly on Republic Day for classes I & II on 24th Jan, 2018. It was celebrated with a great spirit of patriotism and enthusiasm. The assembly began with a Prayer- ‘Aey Maalik Tere Bande Hum’with longing to find God in everything sung by our young budding singers. Followed by the dance ‘Salaam India presented by the students of class 1 with great vigour as the tribute to national heroes who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and honor of mother India. The students of class II then depicted the different flairs of India with the theme of Medley of Patriotic Songs. An illuminating thought was presented by one of the student of class II.
