On 15 August,2017 , agile warriors and devotees of the school showcased an astounding programme which thrilled the audience with verve and vitality by scintillating the ambience with divinity. It also acquainted them with the rules governing the display of the National Flag,Tiranga. Mr.Mukesh Aggarwal ji, the member of managing committee along with Ms. Shashi Aggarwal ji and the school administrator, Mr. R.M. Garg added charisma to the occasion by their benign presence. The Principal, Ms Meenu Arora extended her heartiest greetings to all and urged the students to continuously strive to uphold India’s unity in diversity and country’s hard earned freedom.

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. --- Plato Delhi Public School Karnal witnessed a fun filled musical extravaganza on 9 August 2017 when students from class VI to VIII participated in an Inter House Orchestra Competition. There was rhythmic synchronization, robust energy and tremendous Team Spirit when the participants floored the audience with their musical expertise. It was a day full of music and rhythm when the participants of all the four houses(Brahmaputra, Ganga, Narmada and Satluj) displayed their skills on varied musical instruments like Drums, Congo, Key-board, Casio, Tabla, Harmonium, Flute and Guitar and mesmerised the audience. It was a tough Inter House Orchestra Competition. The selection process became extremely difficult for the judges. However, since there can be only one winner, it was Satluj House which won the competition with grace and elan. They were preceeded by Brahmaputra House and Narmada House who won second and third position. Winners were awarded with the certificates. The Principal Ms. Meenu Arora, expressed delight and pleasure to witness such talent at such a tender age and highly complimented the efforts put in by all the four Houses. She also congratulated the Music Faculty for nurturing and instilling musical and melodious rhythm amongst the students.

NASA Trip 2017-18

Following the exploring culture of DPS Karnal, this year also an educational tour to NASA (13June17- 25June17) was a very enriching and rewarding experience for students as well as teachers. NASA continues to be the front-runner amongst all organisations in their unceasing adventure in space. Our 36 students of classes VI-XII successfully completed a 2 day ATX (Astronaut Training Exercise) camp at NASA. Besides interacting with NASA scientist they enjoyed a tour to the centre where they got the opportunity to relish this lucrative educational tour which was basically to enlighten them about the tremendous developments that have been achieved in the field of outer space, science and technology and also view the numerous exhibits present there. The students also enjoyed the world's most cutting - edge ridges i.e. Niagara Falls and attractions like Universal Studio, Disneyland, Time Square, Washington DC, Empire State Building, Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, Museum of Natural History, Hershey’s Chocolate Factory, Madam Tussauds, Statue of Liberty etc. In Corning Glass Museum they got an exposure of how to make the glass items and utensils. These memories will surely be a milestone in their upcoming journey of life.

Celebrated Kargil Victory Day

The students of Delhi Public School Karnal celebrated Kargil Victory Day with solemnity and dignity by organizing a special assembly at the school campus on 26 July 2017. Kargil Victory Day is named after the success of Operation Vijay. Dras is a town in the Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is often called 'The Gateway to Ladakh'. It acts as a lifeline for Leh and Ladakh. The town shot into prominence in the summer of 1999 following Pakistani army incursions into Jammu and Kashmir. The Kargil War saw the town being shelled by the Pakistani army and the war ended with the Indian Army recapturing the areas surrounding the town and the Kargil district. The Kargil war was fought for more than 60 days, ended on 26 July and resulted in the loss of life on both sides. The Kargil War memorial, built by the Indian Army, is located in Dras, in the foothills of the Tololing Hill. The memorial commemorates the martyrs of the Kargil War. Kargil Victory Day is celebrated on 26 July every year in honour of the Kargil War's Heroes. The students of class VII enthusiastically participated in the assembly and a captivating dance presentation and filled everyone there with a feeling of pride by their patriotic slogans and a captivating dance presentation. Principal Ms. Meenu Arora spoke few words about the Kargil War and informed the students why the day is celebrated as ‘Kargil Victory Day’. She appreciated the confidence and the good show put up by the children and said “Every individual should feel proud of our soldiers who are protecting the country and those who had sacrificed their lives for us.” The programme ended with an emotional tribute to the great soldiers with a message that the whole nation remembers them on this occasion and will remain ever thankful to them.
